St. Ann currently enrolls students in grades PK, TK, and K–5. We are fully accredited by the AdvancEd (formally Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as well as by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction). All students receive instruction in Religion, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English/Language Arts, and Physical Education. Our expanded programs are as follows:
We are also pleased to host the School of Language and Learning. This program supports students in the 2nd - 5th grade who have learning and language challenges. They enjoy a 6:1.5 student /teacher ratio, and classroom setting as well as a sensory gym to meet all of their educational, social, and emotional needs.
St. Ann Catholic School enjoys the opportunity to keep classroom ratios small. This allows each of our faculty members to spend individual time with each student. The average student-teacher ratio is 18:1. We have a strong Catholic base, but welcome anyone of any faith. Students do attend Mass regularly. Our pastor, Fr. Timothy Reid, offers whole-school Mass twice a month and two other Masses for second through fifth grade levels. We work closely with the St. Ann Parish in order to provide each child with a Religious Education and strong background in Christ.
St. Ann’s provides supervised Before-School care between 7:10–7:40am. Our school day begins with the first bell at 7:40am. Our second bell rings at 7:50 to usher students into their classrooms. Prayers, Pledge and Announcements begin promptly at 7:55. Any student arriving after 8:00am is to be signed in by a parent in the Main Office.
Our school day ends at 2:45. Students may be picked up by their parents in the St. Ann Church parking lot. Please see Procedures for Drop-off and Pick-up. Students also have the option of using the MACS Bus Transportation or going to the Aftercare Program.
