Dear Parents,                              May 27, 2008

Our year in Kindergarten is coming to a close.  And, what a wonderful year it has been!  The children in KA are truly terrific.  They have learned and grown so much.  It has been a pleasure being their teacher and helping them on their journey. 

On Tuesday, June 3 @ 8:30 we will celebrate this year with our Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony.  Please have children come to school dressed in their SUNDAY BEST.  Most children take this opportunity to wear their Easter outfits again. When you arrive for graduation, please be sure to go directly to the MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM.  Do not come to the classroom.  Thank You!!

This is a regular scheduled school day, however if you would like to take your child home with you after the ceremony, please be sure to sign them out.  I will have a sign out sheet on the table right outside the classroom.  If they will be staying with me for the day please bring their uniform for them to change into.

I will be sending home a summer packet by the end of the week.  It will have ideas to help your child keep all their skills sharp!!  Please go through it with your child.

Today we will enjoyed our lunch picnic style on Sister Helene’s lawn and a tour of the convent. The children all enjoyed this very much.

We are looking forward to seeing our DADS FOR DONUTS @ 7:40 am on Friday.  Thank you for arranging your schedules to spend time with us.

Dear Parents,

The countdown has begun! Just this morning, I heard many of the students telling each other exactly how many more days of Kindergarten are left! It is hard to believe we are planning graduation and this year is coming to a close. They have come a very long way this year and we all have reason to be proud of each one. We are looking forward to getting back on our regular schedule this week and continuing with reading, math and religion. Here's a look at what we are doing:

. In reading, we are taking a look at the letters y and z. We also have two new sight words-me and where. We will be sending home the reading bags this week on Tuesday and Thursday once again. Thank you for reading with your child.
· In math, we are focusing on fractions. We are also reviewing our addresses and making a mural of our KB homes. Ask your child about the fun activities (especially the pizza fractions) we will complete this week!
· In religion, we are looking once again at God's love and how it helps us to be more loving individuals. We will also be reviewing our Hail Mary, Our Father, and Glory Be. If you can practice these at home, that would be great!

Have a great week! I am looking forward to seeing dads on next Friday! If you haven't already, please send in your RSVP's for both the Donuts for Dads and Kindergarten Graduation. Thanks so much! A few dates to keep in mind:
